    242 sport.

Hey Kevin ! Good hearing from you !! You're right, it's been a while ! Yeah, I doubt it's gonna happen... The interior is trashed but he still thinks it's worth about $25,000...

    242 sport.

I am looking to buy a 1997 Convinsor 242 sport. The owner claims it's a specially built boat and only 10 were made that year. I can't seem to find a listing for a 242 sport in '97... Did this model exist then? It has a 454 mag in it and he says it runs 72 mph GPS with a labbed 24 pitch prop...

    Sun pad re-covering

My sun pad is completely rotted and HAS to be re-done this winter... I talked to Mike at Checkmate and found that #1.. The "pink" color is no longer available.. #2.. Because of the impending "buy out" they aren't taking in any work so I need to get it done locally.... Soooo, what I was...

    Blistered gel coat

That's kindof what I was thinking after reading how to fix it... The blisters weren't causing any problems when I didn't know they were there... Who knows, maybe a blistered hull would provide some added lift...lol Thanks, Doug P.S. I'm on a mission....1 more mph before I put it away...

    Blistered gel coat

I talked to Mike at Checkmate about it and he said to simply sand them down....... Obviously that isn't the CORRECT way to fix it........ Doug

    Blistered gel coat

It's a 1993 230 Enforcer... As far as I know it's NEVER been left in the water at all...Only 245 original hours on the boat...It had 140 on it when I bought it in '04 so it's obviously spent a LOT of time on the trailer......Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.... Doug

    Blistered gel coat

I lifted my boat off of the trailer so I could sand the bottom to get another 1/8 mph out of it and much to my surprise there were blisters in the gel coat where the boat sits on the carpeted trailer bunks Has anyone else had this happen??? I was able to sand out the majority of the ones on...

    A get together in wisconsin??

We may be able to attend depend on when it's going to be......We're in the process of getting our house ready for sale, but once everything is done we'll have more time........ We do most of our boating on the Wolf since most everything down here has speed limits on it... Doug

    Rough water handling

Well, there were only 64 boats making waves It was a lot of fun but I am seriously looking for a way to keep this thing on the water instead of airborne all the time... Maybe a few hundred pounds of ballast in the bow but then I suppose it won't go fast enough to need it then Doug

    Rough water handling

So if I go to a 23" trim tab to replace the 11" ones I currently have it may help some??? I just hate to throw money at an un-fixable problem.. wait a minute...I own a boat...I should be used to throwing money away Thanks, Doug
