    Looking for propping advice

I don't think that prop sounds off. That's a pretty popular prop and pitch for your current set up. Might want to have a compression test or leak down test performed.

    Convincor 270 handling?

I'm sorry, I just assumed that you were running Raystown Lake in Huntington Co.

    Convincor 270 handling?

I hope it handles good. You're steering arm will get a workout dodging debris on the lake from after last weeks storms. It's still messy, alot of driftwood floating around.

Agreed!!! I'm not sure how much stock I would place on his opinion. I get compliments on my " ancient and ugly" Convincor pretty near every time take it out.

Sweet looking boat!!! I don't believe the 327" sbc was even an option in 82. I'd be shocked if it didn't come factory with a big block. That would be a perfect project for an all aluminum LS platform..

That really sucks!!! Besides the boats themselves, they sold awesome quality shirts, hoodies, hats, totes, towels, tumblers and other great branded products. Shame.....

    221 Vision with 496 BBC prop/speed help

    Maybe a 25" mirage+, 23" rev4 or a bravo 24". Just some ideas.

    221 Vision with 496 BBC prop/speed help

I too am guessing that motor would be happier with a pitch or two smaller prop and one with more of a bow carrying blade design. Looks more like a stern lifting prop to me. If thats a 496" stroker motor with roller cam and forged internals, they seem to like being in the 5300 to 5600 rpm range...

    Transom replacement on a Predictor

I dont think that you want to use pressure treated plywood. You want the resin to absorb into the wood. It wont with the pressure treated. But I'd definately get a second opinion.LOL

About to be new owner in Michigan

We had an 81 Eluder when I was a youngster. It came factory with a 260 Mercruiser set up. By the end we had a 400sbc in it. Loved that boat!!! It burned to ash in a garage fire about 3yrs ago now. I always wished it had an alpha SS on it.
