Collector’s item for sale:

2020 Checkmate 2400 Pulsare BRX. This was the last boat built by the original Checkmate factory in Bucyrus, Ohio. The boat is pristine, always stored indoors and never left in the water. Fresh water use only. Approximately 10 hours of use on the awesome Mercury 300R outboard. Engine under warranty until approximately March 2023. Warranty can be extended at least 3 years. Snap in bow cover and cockpit cover. Custom Aqua Traction flooring (similar to SeaDek). Chart plotter with GPS. Livorsi Vantage view gauges with GPS speedometer, and matching blue anodized gauge bezels. Windaway removeable wind deflectors. Marine radio. Aluminum Danforth style anchor. Atlas hydraulic jack plate with 10” of set back. Mercury Racing 24P Bravo FS prop. Mercury hydraulic steering. Custom Phoenix trailer built for the Checkmate with mag wheels and swing tongue. A similar boat new with trailer lists for around $90K and your wait time is around 1.5 years. This is not only an outstanding brand new boat, it is a collector’s item. The boat is located in Niles, MI and available immediately. Asking $73,500.
My 2400 Pulsare was the 2nd last boat built in Bucyrus and Tom and I became good friends, but sadly he passed away last week. I am selling his boat for his family. If you send me a private conversation with your e-mail I will send you pictures or answer further questions.

Please send more photos. What type of speed with the 300R?
Right now, the pictures I posted are all that they sent me. The boat has less than 10 hours on it. Tom was still getting used to it. The last time I spoke to him, he said he had it trimmed and running around 70 mph and when he put the stick down, it jumped to 72 mph quickly, and he pulled it back so that is the quickest he has driven it. I have the same boat (but a long deck) with a 300R and mine does about 73 mph with 1/2 tank and my wife and I in the boat in the summer time.

Do you know total weight of boat and trailer?
Checkmate says the boat weighs about 2200, my trailer weighs 1100 and Tom had a similar trailer. The 300R weighs about 560 lb, the battery about 50 lbs, the jack plate at least 30 lbs, the hydraulic steering pump perhaps 15 lbs, the anchor about 7 lbs and fuel is about 6 lbs / gallon. So you are towing about 4100 lbs plus whatever fuel you have on board is my best guess.

I looked at a picture of spec label on the tongue of Tom's trailer and it appears his trailer is slightly heavier than mine and listed at 1251 lbs.

The only reservation I have is wood instead of composite material. Like the boat a lot.
No problem, thanks for looking. Checkmate never made any composite boats in Ohio, but you can order a composite Checkmate from the the new owners, Caldwell Marine.

Wanted, Looking for a closed deck Checkmate 2400 Pulsare. Send pictures and info.
If you look at the top of this thread and other posts I made in this thread you will see the photos for a new 2400 BRX (not a closed deck like my 2400) for sale. The boat has less than 10 hours on it and is pristine but it is a bow rider. I may sell my 2020 / 300R closed deck in 2 - 3 years.

The 2400brx is a full interior fibreglass liner boat. The seat backs and bases are composite as well. A lot less wood to rot(only stringers, transom and core) and all of it is protected by layers of glass and the interior liner. If you and whoever rigged the boat are/were careful to protect any penetration through the glass layers with silicone there will be no issues in the future.
