Hey Gang! I just took the leap today. I am now a Member of the Family.

I picked up a white, black and red 1986 Starflite with a 225 Johnson and Chariot bunk trailer apparently from the same year. It looks to be all original, in need of some refurbishing and TLC. :thumb:

This known history of this unit, is that it spent the majority of it's days on the trailer. There's a bit of a soft spot in the floor in the stern, just in front of the fuel tank. The rest seems quite solid. The indicators are that it didn't spend extended periods of time in the water. We'll be checking this more carefully, of course.
The rest of the interior seems pretty darn good. The buckets look nearly new, but the rear bench vinyl is cracked and broken. The structure of the bench is solid.

The red gel-coat on the deck and upper hull is chalky and there are some small chucks broken out of the edges in a few places, but overall the gel-coat is in really good shape.

The majority of the hull is black and really appears to be in good shape. Now gouges or visible damage on the outside.

So, the adventure begins! :bigthumb:

I'll get a few pics up here asap. My phone is having trouble sending pics to my computer.

Stand by...

Always liked the Starflight. Such a nice shape.
Wish I was on the water today in Ontario. 87 degrees
at my place.
Good luck with your new toy.

Thanks for the Welcome!

I'm looking forward to digging in to this Project.

I'll start a Project thread when we do get going.
