Has anyone put a Volkswagen VR6 in a mid 80s I/O?

I came across a free Volkswagen VR6 engine and a guy who claims to have done a VR6 delete in a Glastron cvx16.

Was just wondering if anyone has put one in a checkmate and had any advice, info, stories, photos, videos, warnings ect....

I worked at VW for over 40 years and while I'm sure it can be done but is it worth it over a good GM engine. VR6 engines were all EFI!

Thanks. Besides the fact that it’s a free engine out of a car that only had 5000mi on it, I kind of appreciate the benefits of EFI. Will post updates once we get started.
