Jet drive conversion

if you wanted to turn that predictor into a 2 seater it could be done. it would be more work than i would want to do.

there is a checkmate jet mate on ebay right now for lil money.

Or are you talking about putting a Jet Lower Unit on the 140? They did make them, but I think those are more intended for someone running in shallow water or around brush where they didn't want a prop. I don't think that they are efficient enough to be fast or anything. I could be wrong, but I've just never heard of one used for performance.

Jets look cool screaming buy. But outboards regularily spank thier a$$ and it bugs the crap out of the jet guys. It takes extremely too much horsepower to have a super fast jet..

Had a ride in a 20' zodiac witha 250 hp Suzuki w/jet lower unit in Mexico. Came out of the gate smartly but a PIG on top end. Sure would shoot water though. Great in a spray fight.

they do make jet drive outboards mostly for shallow water like in alberta. they eat a lot of horsepower between 30 and 50% power loss.
