New England Get Together?

I have put in for vacation for that time.
I will post as soon as I hear.

Some say that we have 2 seasons in Maine:
Winter and the 4th of July.

I have had very good luck with the weather during the last week of July and
1st week of August.

Sounds good to me. I'll be there for the 4th and 5th for sure. It's a busy time of year for my company so Friday and Monday may be a problem but I will catch up with you guys on Sat. and Sunday. I can't wait for the good weather to come. I still have to pull the engine, install heads and cam, and also full hydraulic steering. What did I do this weekend? Went skiing in Killington, Vt. because I can't get my boat out of my yard!

Chris - It sounds like we have the same amount of work to do!! Maybe this will turn into a snowmobile trip, in case the snow hasn't melted by August.

I would love to make it up there. It's just not going to happen. :yell: Where exactly is this place? Can someone point it out on a map and post it here. How far from Long Island is this?

If you guys are ever around here, drop me a line. I could give you a ride on the Atlantic. If there is anything left after this storm.

85 Predictor,

Thanks for the map. That certainly answered my questions. Its a hell of a ride for me.

Pete,

Thanks for the offer. Getting time off from work wouldnt be the problem. Driving 6 hours one way would be an issue, but I could live with it. Getting my wife to agree to sit in my truck for 12 hours to go for a boat ride.... Now thats gonna be a problem. Leaving her home... Thats a bigger problem. I'll certainly keep the dates open and see how things go at the time.

I have put in for and looks like it is approved vacation for July 28th to Aug 5th.
Hope that this weekend will work for everyone.

I'd like to try and make it. Haven't had the boat off Winnepesaukee though. My wifes happy staying there!! I'd would need to get a trailer. It'd be good to meet some other checkmate folks!

HAC,

Where do you usually hang at Winni? I spend a lot of time over at Braun Bay. I'm over on Ossipee but I put in at Center Harbor all the time. My boats over in Gilford right now getting new power and I should be putting in inWinni in the next week or two for testing.

Hi It133,
Spend most of my time up around Wolfeboro. Also at the Long Island bridge in Moultonboro. :surf:
I like being at Winni. It seems as if everybody complains about the crowds and rough water from traffic. It doesn't really bother me, and there's usually plenty to do.
I expect to put the boat in around 5/24ish.

HAC see you on winni!

I won't be up that early! wedding this weekend, maybe take a day trip next week if we get a great day, I heard there is still alot of debris floating around, esp. in calm areas.

I don't think I can make that date on Sebago that is the first weekend of my vacation on winni. I think I am going to the poker run at sebago on 7-22

Looks like that's our vacation week as well.:surf: Same as last year. I'm thinking maybe split some time but still need to work on the trailer thing.

Dreamer, are you in the water at Winni? Back Bay?
