Pro Charged 502

Hey Everybody. I was thinking of procharging my 2000 ZT280 Stock 502... Question is will the stock bravo I drive handle the power or do i need to add XR shafts and other things of that matter??.. I am tossing this idea up between just addin a set of stainless marine headers... the whole boat only has 108 hrs on it... any advise?

Keep the boost down and be easy airing it out and the drive will stay alive for a while. The upper gear set is what usually breaks(or that has been my experience) couple things help, a big top cap, and steel tower in the upper housing(like in the xz, and xr have). That being said at least the bravos are cheap to fix, and parts are readily available.

Jazzy's right, it will live for a while. I had a M3 procharged XT280, I blew the floor out of the upper gear. We changed to XR gears, a steel tower and modified top cap. I lost 1 MPH in doing so. I think if I had to do over again, I would have switched to XZ gears. IF you go easy on it, it will last longer.

the kit that I have been looking at is the M3 procharger. Is it worth it for the money? I was planning on running only 5lbs of boost which is some where around the 645HP mark.

running a procharged 500HP 6psi stock bravo 1 2 seasons now, I just ease on plane and cut the throttle if comes out of the water...over 80....great setup...the factory EFI system leaves much to be desired with a procharger though....
