Questions about model number on Evinrude V6

I was hoping someone on e here can help me id my 1992 Evinrude V6 225 H.P. Limited Edition model number E225TLEI serial number G 02970319. I have never seen that model number anywhere that I have searched including the OMC Manual I bought.

I would really llike to know what makes it a "Limited Edition. I know that it has a lightweight engine cover but have no clue otherwise as to what might be different. My guess is that it was a marketing gimic

I can't remember what made that the Limited edition, I believe it might have had a slightly different gear case too. Have you called your local OMC/Bombardier dealer to have run you number in their computer. They can run both model and serial numbers to try to get you the correct info. Hope that is a start!

One expert source I'd recommend for info on that motor is at www.scaryfast.com
The Baker boys know a lot about the JohnnyRudes and the Merc Performance motors. Go to their web site and you can send a note to them and probably get a pretty quick answer. I do know that was a special model, but don't remember anything about it. Baker Marine is a good place, that's where I bought all my Gaffrig gauges when I rigged up a Hydrostream a few years ago.

1995 Pulsare 2100BR/1995 Mercury Promax 225 2.5 EFI/ 1.87:1 Torquemaster/ RapidJack Heavy-Duty manual 10.5" setback/ 23" Tempest worked for ski duty

I know many of the Canadian models don't show up on many of the popular websites. Could it be a Canadian edition of some sort?
