What we do when the weather sucks!!

Check This,

Tell me about your setup and speeds.

Any issues with chine walk and/or porpoising?

I am about to add 7 inches of setback (total of 12.5") and about 5 inches of engine height.

With these changes I am hoping to break into the 90's and reduce chine walk. What is your opinion?

Do you boat on Lake Wallenpaupack, PA.

Joe
Joe I do boat in Lake W -- Lake W sits at a high elevation so it does effect speed. My best with this boat has been 87 on gps. I am not hitting top rpm only about 5800 to 6000. I should be in the 6400 range.
My chine walking was reduced due to my Jack plate. I have to give "KUDO'S" to Randy (wildman) When the jack plate is all the way up it drops the nose. I am going to put a video together this weekend on chine walking. I do not have to drive the boat until she hits 75. It is amazing how well it works. So I am going to go to a 24 or 25 pitch and maybe a three blade. We will see?? Please come some weekend we can compare note!!

Check,

These boats really are twins!

I am seeing 88MPH GPS best ever. My RPMs are almost the same 6000. I am running 1.62 gears on a Sportmaster LU with a 25" Trophy worked by Rich Boger.

I hope to do better and reduce the chine walk with a Stainless bracket (7 inch setback and 5" height).

If we get some good weather in Sept. maybe we can hook up at Lake W.

Joe

Has anyone heard the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", this thread is starting to read like so many threads on other websites. It always seems to be the same people taking shots on here. Are they trying to make themselves feel better by putting down others?

I say if you like it, screw what other people think!!!!
I look forward to seeing what your going to do with the motor. When I got my graphics cut, I also had some made up for the trailer(i.e. Mercury, Checkmate, etc.) I think it makes a nice package as you trailer your boat.

I added new stickers to mine also . The orignals were 33 yrs old and didnt look the best . I found the orignal replacements but really like these and glad I did get these put a more modern look to a old hull . The motor is next I have all the stickers for that too . Just got to get my dad off the couch and out of the fridge and paint it :rof:.

The comment that you made, which I have bolded, is truely one of the stupidest I have seen on this, or any other site, in some time... congrats...

The beauty of decals is if you don't like them, simply peel them off.
Umm, I wonder why none of us thought of that. You are more then welcome to offer opinion but you're starting to step out of line...IMO.

Your post doesn't exactly scream intellegence so be careful what you call stupid.
