    Congrats Kevin, Look forward to seeing your progress in racing this summer. Everyone may be interested to know that your boat was featured in the March 2000 issue of Hotboat mag titled "Family Hotboat Restoration". It was once John Tiger's personal family boat.     Wish everyone else I know including myself who has a house on the coast could say the same... I'm glad I didn't stay there. I heard of people trapped in their attics calling 911 begging for a helicopter rescue, the houses along my bay were all condemned....

    Yea that's how I felt, nothing to lose, and it looks much better now, maybe I can continue to work it some more next season and get some of the rough spots smoothed up. I didn't take my rails off cause I didn't want to mess up my cabin liner.... All in all this is a great boat for the little $...

    Why don't we agree on a launch that has adequate parking and all meet there (since they are all within 10 mins or so I really have no preference). Anyone know someone at one of the launch ramps? Maybe call and give a heads up we are coming?

In hindsight 220 seems to have scratch and brought it down too thin but anything less than 220 was not taking that darker stuff off very easy (even the 220 was work).     Here it is on the way to CT River Run, it looks pretty good from a few feet away, not bad for an 89. If I can keep it looking like this I'll be happy. Looking at it at certain angles close up shows the swirls though. Maybe I'll try Aquabuff next season. http://db.tt/xm3Orda3

    Is it only 5 more minutes to get around to emerald when coming from the south? I thought it was much longer if that's the case maybe it would be nicer if we all met at Emerald, we did that a few years ago and it was nice. I haven't been to Greenwood since that run I think which was 2005.

    I progressively worked my way down to 220, and even 220 was a lot of work to get it down to clean gelcoat, I could tell I didn't want to go any more aggressive than that but not until I did the whole deck did I find that some spots would be too thin to get the little scratches out in the end...
