    Thanks for the input I appreciate all replies. I wasn't really concidering the conversion just kind of a general question. I have a ways to go before I get to looking at reasonable sized motors for the boat. I have some transome work and some other glass work to tend to first but I am looking...

    Outboard vs. I/O

    Ok, I am new to this and do understand the difference between the two but which would be considered the better setup. My '81 Enchanter is outboard but I have wondered if it is possible to convert to i/o, and if it would be a good idea to attemp such a change.:confused:

    Hello everyone

    I am new to the site and also new to boating so please excuse any "dumb" questions. I recently aquired a 1981 checkmate enchanter and know very little about boating or boat repair and maintainance but am eager to learn.
