    I’m thinking of adding some cleats to my Sportfire I need some tie downs for fenders and dock ropes .I’m thinking two in front of the windshield where I reach them from cockpit. Got some nice stainless 5” and I will be replacing the rears wit these also . Does this seem right? Thanks Robert

    I don’t think there is any in the bottom of the hull . There wasn’t any in mine . Mine was rotten around the the floor hatch like yours I cut it all out and replaced with new 10 years ago and it’s still solid as a rock . But I don’t cut corners and have done a few .just don’t leave any holes or...

    Yes , they do I think the locker is about 18 “ wide on the inside . I only use stainless screws when putting it back . Pull the carpet and see where it attachés to the hull and cut out the floor there and be very careful to not cut the hull I cut with a circular saw and cut it back about 1.5...

    I don’t have any pics of them but I used pressure treated 2x4’s when I did mine . I ran them through the table saw to get the angle for the bottom against the hull and glassed them in with 3 coats of glass and resin .do you have the floor removed ?

    This is only other latch I can find it the moment it’s 3x3.5 inches pull your latch out and measure it and the hole . Sometimes you have to improvise not all of these part are available. I found that out when I changed all of my hardware to stainless , just don’t like pitted chrome.

    Had the Sportfire out today with the new engine and it was running great. I added some power mods to the 4.3 And I’m pretty happy with the performance . It jumped right on plane and hit 50 mph pretty quick .I’m not hammer it to much until it gets some breaking time but so far I’m happy .
