    If you are talking about the 2565 that one is built in Orlando. If you are Talking about the 2500/2550/2520...Those are the ones I build here in Valdosta. All great boats.

    Thanks Chris, I'm kinda new to this whole boatbuilding thing. I've only been working for Regal for about 5 years. I'm a retired aircraft mechanic (USAF) but the technology is similar in a lot of respects. I tripped on this sight and thought it might be intersesting to see what's going on...

    Volvo Penta Out Drives

    I don't know what the max HP rating is, but I regularly hang them behind Volvo 8.1 Gi motors rated at 400 h.p. I don't recall ever seeing any warrantee claims on Volvo outdrives. I usually hear about the engin/outdrive related stuff. Harold

    Vandutch/PT Boat

    Thank you for that. My old man was a Gunner's Mate on PT boats. He told me many very captivating stories. Bye the way there were 2 different classes of PT's. I Don't recall the designations, but one had the Packards and the other had 3 Allison V-12's. I think they were called Elco boats.

    dumb exhaust question

    The primary thing that keeps water from backflowing an engine is riser height in relation to the waterline/draft of the boat. Doesn't really matter if it's thruhull or sterndrive exhaust.
