The crying is over, let the dust fly.

A little more Well, she is NOT done but water worthy. My finish list is short; 1. rebuild carbs 2. build and install side panels 3. finish wiring 4. Enjoy as much time on water as possible. That being said this video is terrible, but gets the point across. On the first time out I got 47mph (on...

Thanks howieris, that's kinda what I thought but they still seemed out of place? I am so close now and it has been a really long road but even now I feel like it was all worth it. I am just waiting on a timing light and new starter to get the TOP timed in and then it will be splash time...

Getting there. I now have 100% of the wood out of the transom area and I am about ready to get started on the replacement wood. I want to make sure I have this all correct. I plan on using this plywood in 3/4" and 1/4"...

Thanks for the reply Redstrat, I will check with West system and see what they say about it. For every person that says it is doable there are 2 other posts somewhere saying the world will end if you gel coat over epoxy. Those same people would probably stop me from running with scissors too...

Some more progress As with anything the further you go, the deeper it gets. We made a lot of progress so far today but discovered a little extra work. Plus a little mystery:confused: The mystery is, what are these blocks for? There is nothing anchored to them and they are on both sides in...

Cutting and Smoking I'm spending the long weekend cutting away and smoking:D It's amazing, that feeling of relief when you see just how rotten the transom and that all this effort is worth it. Ohhh yeah the smoking part....:D What did you think I was talking about???:D:D Forgot to...

:irked:Not a bad day all together but I did find that there is a soft spot in the deck. Apparently at some point someone put in a ski pole or were mid process of putting one in and decided it wouldn't work or wasn't worth it. You can just see were the top plate was. The deck is just slightly...

A little inspiration Last week at one of my customer sights this was their next door neighbor. There was a lot full of gems like these. It is North River Boats in Roseburg, OR. If I ever hit the lottery, I know right where to go;)

Due to a long work week I wont get much of a chance to hit the boat very hard, other than to inventory the incoming supplies and study the manuals. I'm also making my list for a Harbor Freight trip. With some luck and a little bit of a$$ busting I should start the weekend...
