    Wingmaster Gen 2 lower

I agree with Karzrus. Set back is typical measured from the transom to the outboard mounting brackets, so most of the time call it the depth of you jack plate including all spacers. Some engines, like the 400R have some built in set back. So in those cases the centerline of the crankshaft is...

    2009 Pulsare 2000 BR project

It looks good but don't get it wet. Perhaps it was the color I picked but it sounds like mine requires a lot more maintenance than Hayabusa's

    2009 Pulsare 2000 BR project

I have an Aqua Traction floor in my 2020 2400 Pulsare. It looks good, feels good, but it very high maintenance. Lake water, rain water, bottled water will all cause a stain that looks like a ring and requires upholstery cleaner to remove. I consider that floor to be very high maintenance and i...

Checkmate interior resto mod. Let me know what you think.

I have a 2020 Checkmate 2400 Pulsare and I installed an Aqua Traction floor in it myself. My boat sits under a covered dock in the lift and the boat is covered with a good Marine Concepts cover. I have the bimini top deployed for 8 months of the year so it sees very little sun. It looks good...

Need 87 Convincor factory upholstery color

Did you try and call Gotcha Covered Upholstery in Bucyrus? Not sure if they will sell you the material if they have it, but they do the upholstery work and did the original Checkmate and Hustler work.

HOW FAST IS YOUR CHECKMATE? EVERYONE!

Something does not make sense. If we assume a 2.0 gear ratio (that could be wrong) you have at least 30% slip with a 30P at 65 mph. Since you speed reading is GPS, that is likely accurate. I would check the tach or install a borrowed one and compare to it. I doubt you would feel 30% slip since...

    Looking for propping advice

As far as I know all Bravo series props are 15.25" diameter including the Bravo 1, Bravo FS, Bravo XS and XC. I think the actual diameter is closer to 15.125" but Merc lists them as 15.25".

    Looking for propping advice

Good, it sounds like the engine is in good health and you trimmed it for maximum speed without overtrimming. If the prop has vent holes and you open them up, it allows exhaust gases into the blades, which will result in the prop spooling up faster and raising the engine rpm when you pin the...

    Looking for propping advice

Was the speed GPS based or just a pitot tube speedometer? If I use 67 mph actual (GPS based) and a 1.5 gear ratio in the Bravo, you have 12% slip which is not bad for that hull. People that own the same hull/engine/drive combo will hopefully chime in. If the actual GPS speed was really more like...

    Looking for propping advice

what type of prop and pitch are you running currently? What is the WOT rpm with that prop? If you pin the stick to get on the plane, what rpm does the tach initially jump to before it starts gaining rpm?

2400 BRX - Livorsi speedo, GPS antenna location?

Thanks Hayabusa, that makes sense. The tach is the master (like mine) the antenna comes into the master and the signal is sent from gauge to gauge as you mentioned until it arrives at the speedo. So if the system on H20's boat is like yours, he should be able to follow wires from the master tach...

2400 BRX - Livorsi speedo, GPS antenna location?

I assume that white square item in the bow is your gps antenna? The wire coming out of it must go to your speedo? They did make some speedos back around 2010 that were pitot driven but they had a sensor at the engine that converted the pitot tube pressure to analog signal. A wire then went from...

    Checkmate Baja connection...

I think the ZT244 was a Baja mold introduced after Doug Smith purchased Checkmate. It was built using the Checkmate balsa core / hand lay up method and not the Baja chopper gun.

2400 BRX - Livorsi speedo, GPS antenna location?

Hayabusa brought up a good point. When my boat was new my GPS speedo just read crazy numbers and I had to go back and select GPS on the Livorsi set up. If it is GPS, one set of wires has to go to the antenna.
