    "Msmile's " Baja killer 115

LOL... I thought to myself, he has to be in an Allison... He never said he was in a Checkmate... And I was right :bigthumb: That's a really good dialed in 115 you have there. I've seen a few Ally's with 150's running 80+, but never a 115. Awesome!

    THE NEW BAJA/CHECKMATE/BAJA ????

I'm sure it has room... The Baja did. From what I see the interior of this boat is vastly improved over the Baja version. I can't wait to see it... SFX 250 with twin E-Tec 150 HO  Hey Coop, Does that boat at the show have a transom jack on it? looks like it from one of the pics I...

    "TOP SECRET CHECKMATE" PIC'S

Just came across some info that might be of interest here... Found a Powerboat magazine report (12/1997) that tested the Baja H2x with a 502 (415 shp) at 71.5 mph @ WOT. and Powerboat magazine report (07/2001) that tested the Baja H2x with a 496 (425 shp) at 72.6 mph @ WOT. So I see no reason...

    THE NEW BAJA/CHECKMATE/BAJA ????

I really like these new seats! looks like they face forward or backwards. That would be great for fishing. Especially trolling. Has anyone seen the price yet?

    "TOP SECRET CHECKMATE" PIC'S

I just might... But it will have the name Checkmate on it :poke: Some of you may not be able to deal with that, but it doesn't bother me one bit. No offense to forum members, but it seems to me that the vast majority of folks around here aren't buying new boats anyways so this probably isn't...

    "TOP SECRET CHECKMATE" PIC'S

Wow.. What a thread. Personally, I like Baja boats. The way I see it is now Chekmate can improve the build quality of already good designs. I wanted to see fresh new designs, but this is a great oportunity to broaden their market share for a minimum investment. Good idea. I don't...

Official Press Release-Checkmate Introduces Two New Models

I assume you mean the 250 sportfish? Or are they going to call the 230 a 25 footer? The 230 was faster... I don't know many 250's that would break 60. I'm not too bumbed if they are using the baja design cuz I always wanted one, but I thought this was a clean sheet design for some reason. Is...

Official Press Release-Checkmate Introduces Two New Models

Yes, More Please! I'm liking it. Is this a brand new design or did Checkmate rehash the old 25' Baja sportfisherman? This could be my next boat... I need as many pix and as much info as I can get :bounce::eyecrazy::bigthumb::cheers::drool:

    When does a fast boat....

Safety is also relative  :poke: Notice I said I would ride in a Fountain... Those big air packing cats scare me. But again, their "scary" comes a lot higher than a 19' STV. Also, it all depends on the water. We average 2-4 ft Lake Erie chop where I boat. That's why I sold the Pulse...

    When does a fast boat....

The truth is that speed is relative. 50 mph in a small boat in say a 13 or 14 footer seems fast, but in a 38' Skater you would barely be on plane and would be pretty dull. The fastest offshore boats are running 175+ with some cats cracking 200. Relatively speaking, the faster you go the...
