    Engine size advice.....

I've got a 77-78 Trimate 1 (haven't gotten the paperwork yet), which has no engine. It clearly states on the plate that the boat is rated for 120hp. I also have a Yamaha Pro-V 150 V-6. Is this too much motor for this boat?? I've seen other boats with similar dimensions and hulls running...

    Jack PLate???

I appreciate that. It was about what I figured, but wanted to make sure. I've got a Johnson 120 or 125 to put on my Trimate, but the guy who has it says he thinks the lower unit may be too long (I haven't seen it yet) and I guess a jack plate woyuld help correct that?

    Jack PLate???

At the risk of sounding like an idiot (I do it all the time) what is the purpose of a 'jack plate'???

    Factory Interior??

I've read several of the posts regarding interiors, and need just a little clarification. Over the winter, I'm gonna be restoring my '78 Trimate and of course the interior is toast. Am I understanding it right that you can actually buy complete interior kits (with wood) from Checkmate??

    Brand New In NC

Just purchased what appears to be a 1978 Tri-Mate 1, judging by the brochure photos in the gallery. I'll know for sure when I get the paperwork and pick up the boat on Saturday. The only major problems I see are peeling clearcoat, and of course the upholstery is trash from sitting in the sun...
