    Disappointing First Outing

    The tach signal originates from the voltage regulator/rectifier Most likely that is bad. My merc 115 sat for a year and the regulator went bad in it. You wont notice the battery not charging unless your running something like a radio the motor will run fine with a bad rectifier mine did. check...

    1992 Pulse 171 with Merc 115 want it faster / I feel it should go faster?

    Debugged the problem with the tach was bad voltage regulator/rectifier its on order... had it out today with 1/2 tank and just 2 people hit 54MPH on my speedo racing another boat that hit 57 and my little check was pulling on it the whole time so could have been faster!!! im pumped now i know...

Took it out it went about 38 mph full tank of fuel and 3 people in it. wondering what more I can get out of it? "Cheap Money" keep in mind. Also I noticed the boat...
