wanted marine 12volt 110 fridge for my convinsor

The one in my 283 only worked on shore power (110V AC). I always felt it was a useless item as coolers worked better for me. You can pick up a new dorm style fridge for $89.00 from any big box store.

I have successfully used Eastwood's carb paint in the past. I have also used Hi-heat silver on my corvair carbs, but the eastwood held up better

    LOTO Shootout

My kid wants to go to the Shootout this year. I never boated on LOTO before and don't know much about the ramps, where to stay ect.. Looking for any advice. I don't know what boat would be better on the busy weekend either. I have a 20 foot Pontoon or could bring my 25 foot bowrider.

" For Sale" 2014 Chevrolet Cruze - Turbo Diesel

That is a very cool daily driver. I considered getting one, but we went with a Malibu cause it was cheaper and my wife was strokin' the note! GLWS sounds like a great car!

    150hp + outboard wanted.

I put a 150 Pro XS on my 20 foot pontoon and it's a fun ride. I plan to get a new boat in a year or 2 and I will keep the motor. What brands are you looking at Jeff?

    Alternative to Merc Special tool?

I am going through my 150 Optimax gearcase. The shift shaft seal failed and it got some water in it. I wanted to look inside it. So I ordered a bunch of special tools and got out my SELOC manual. The upper drive shaft bearing had some marks on it so I replaced it. Everything else looked new. The...

    Maxxum Single I/O conversion?

After owning a 283 with a lightly modded 525 SC for a decade, I would say that as far as a single engine Convincor (non EFI) your boat is the best combo that there is. Good luck on future endeavors!

    jetmate 2 top speed?

Jet boats are really fun. I had a Southwind Tunnel and I put a 455 Pontiac in it. (Maybe 425-450 HP). It had a Berkeley pump with a Dominator bowl, ride plate, shoe, and a Place diverter. It made a lot of noise, sucked gas, and still got passed by I/O boats with BBC's and Bravos.

    JASPER Reman'd Stern Drives

I dont know... But for most of the folks on this site a 6k drive from Merc is a problem. The SEI drives have a great warranty and a low initial cost. Most of the people that need those Alpha style drives have 20+ year old boats that are not even worth 6K. It keeps them on the water.
