Oil level There are 2 lines that come off the steering mechanism under the dash. One goes all the way to the back of the boat and connects to the steering arm which is connected to the boat. There is no steering pump or reservoir in between. And the other line is about 18 inches and just ends...- PaintedStallions

Pics of Steering lines Well I found the drain and fill plugs! Not good! Seems like someone left the plugs out or lost them. Everything turns free. But there may be crud in there. Okay! I got a part of it down pat! I got the motor to lower by hand. Do I have to physically and manually raise and lower this motor everytime I use it? It seems like it would be a pain in the arse. Tilt cylinders There are 2 hydraulic cylinders under the motor. boat there is no switch that is labled for the tilt.There are 3 switches that I can find. Thanks for the info. But do you know where the tilt or trim lever is on this old boat? It is a Steury model T515C evinrude 85hp. Or do you know where it was supposed to be> Because there is nothing that indicates a trim lever that I can find. Thanks! Montana- PaintedStallions
