    If you are not comfortable making this type of judgment call, really conceder hiring a local shop to inspect the boat / engine and take it out for a sea trial with you aborad. A couple of hours of a mechanic's wages could save you a lot of cost and aggravation. Best of luck!

    My memory is not what it used to be that's for sure. Kind of intresting for the Jet molds to go to Mexico - you would think parts for the Sportjet could be an issue? Sure wish the seat jigs were around - cost me a pretty penny to have new ones done - there real nice, but not OEM for sure.

    JW - If memory serves me right, I had a conversation with Kip a while back and I belive he told me the molds went the way of the land fill. I called the factory last year to inquire about new seats for my 97 and was told they got rid of the jigs also.
