    I rerigged my 1989 Spectra 171 with a 2000 2.5L 200 Mercury I rebuilt. I now hit 70mph. But I am over propped. I think I can get a few more mph if I drop a couple inches of pitch.

    I have a 1989 Spectra 171. Rated for a 150HP. The USCG plate says Sportsfire. 140HP max. I rigged it with a 2.5 200 Merc I rebuilt. So far I am hitting 70mph but I am over propped. I should be able to get a few more MPH out of it.

    So far, I can top out at 70MPH. But I think I am a little over propped. I think if I drop 3" to 27P I will pick up a few more MPH. I would love to hit 75. But that is probably wishful thinking.

    For sale $2000 OBO 1988 Evinrude 175 Horsepower Outboard Motor 25"Shaft Runs Great Runs on premix. VRO pump has been removed. New starter, Spark plugs and a brand new water pump. The carburetors were ultrasonically cleaned. Runs idols shifts great.

    The contact cement works well to hold the foam into and around corners. But the EVA foam does not stretch well to form to irregularities in the shape.

    The EVA foam decking is OK. It is definitely harder to keep clean then carpet. You definitely need to use contact cement to get it to stay down. For the logos, I took the old seat cover with the logo to the local embroidery shop. They scanned the old logo digitize it for $30. Then the...

    The "carpet is EVA foam. The gauges are Faria Beede Dress white. The boat only had a speedo and fuel gauge when I got it. Front seats are leader accessories. I had the back seat made to match. The seats alone cost more than I paid for the boat.

    I think it was gray thread on the white stripe that matched the gray panels. They are 34 years old so I can't really be sure. I just got the boat this year. I did a restomod so I wasn't worried about origionallity
