    1975 Vmate restoration

Wow. He's gone over/cleaned/machined the whole block, cut you a break on parts where ever he could, explained everything, and charged you a flat rate $50/hour labor? All in, including return shipping for under a grand! Not sure what you were expecting to pay, but that's a great deal where I'm from.

Question for you, why are your dual steering cables coming in from both sides? On my dual setup, the both come into the well from the drivers side.

    Pulled the trigger!

I've had trouble with Paypal in the past in that it seems in the fine print they don't actually guarantee the transaction unless it's thru Ebay. Their communications on the matter did more harm than good. Very frustrating, but a cheap lesson, in my case. They may pay more attention to you though...

    1975 Vmate restoration

Will, when I rebuilt my battery box a few years back I left off the front edge, allowing it to be slid in, rather than having to be lifterd up and over into it. It's such an awkward lift angle, and as the battery tied down to it as well, I really didn't see the point in leaving the front edge. I...

Stereos & Batteries - Read before buying.

thanks. I have an open bow Eluder, no cabin space, but there is a big space above the passenger's feet wich size wise seems ideal for a fairly square sealed sub box. From that loaction though, the only mounting direction I could use is ponting down, at the pasenger footwell? Wasn't sure about...

Stereos & Batteries - Read before buying.

I agree, great thread for reference material, thanks guys. One question that didn't come up - What direction should a sub be mounted to give the optimum output, cone up???
