HOW FAST IS YOUR CHECKMATE? EVERYONE!

No real issues with weight per se, the newer direct injected 125 hp motors come in around the same weight as my old school carbed 225. I’m selling the boat come spring and rigging it with a 150 for a family to enjoy using for various activities. I no longer need a bowrider and obviously the...

HOW FAST IS YOUR CHECKMATE? EVERYONE!

The 1850’s are ridiculously heavy so that’s part of it, the other piece of the puzzle is a big block 2 stroke or even 4 stroke power would give you a lot more torque to spin bigger wheels pushing all that weight.

HOW FAST IS YOUR CHECKMATE? EVERYONE!

Had the extra setback anyway and was also in the market for a prop. Took a flyer on the Hydromotive used and it works great. I don’t mind investing my time into setup changes to learn, extra speed found is the bonus. I always said if this boat cracks a real 80 on an everyday basis I’d be...

HOW FAST IS YOUR CHECKMATE? EVERYONE!

Changed the setup a little this year….. 10” setback 1” above pad 26 P Hydromotive 82 GPS First day with the new wheel and boat was loaded with fuel etc for a day out on the water. Hoping to find 1 or 2 more MPH with a light load and maybe a little more propshaft height tweaking.

Looking to repower 2011 Plusare 2000 CD

Generally speaking the 21’s are happier with big block motors on them. The extra weight does nothing but help keep the bow up and at 1300+ + + lbs you can use all the torque you can get coming out of the water. The 2.5 would be much better suited to a smaller/lighter hull.

    2009 Pulsare 1600 Maiden Voyage

I’ve got an ‘06 1600, pretty rare boat by the looks of it. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an 1850 in the flesh though either.
