    I am putting a jack plate on my 170 Spetra

    I am going to put a jack plate on my 1988 170 Spetra It has a 150 98 XR6 I think a 6"set back what hole should I set the motor in and at what water pressure should I stop to jack it up at. Any idea of what type of preformance gains I should expect?

    my motor is set all the way down on the last hole when I lifted it up in a turn i lost my hook up

    If I go with a jack plate what type do you recommend and what set back 6" 8" or 10" it turns a 21pitch laserII at 5500 to 5700 right now, water pressure is 20psi a WOT

    I have a 1988 170 with a 97 Merc 150 XR6 I run a 23 pitch laser and it turns at 5700 to 5800 rmp what speeds should I expect and should look at a jack plate and nose cone? Right now the have the motor is set in the lowest hole if I turn hard I loose my hook-up
