    Got my ZT 280 last Friday

    Welcome to the fun. Love mine, it is a great boat. Enjoy filling that fuel tank, you will get used to it. I have no trim limit either, just learned to watch the trim guage.

    Wow, I didn't expect to ever see anything like this. What a reality check. I was trying to decide on a extinguisher for my engine compartment or a second hydraulic steering ram as my next project. It is going to be the extinguisher right away. You may have saved another boat by including us...

    Since we don't have a West chapter....

    I thought my brother and I were the west chapter here in Tucson. His jetmate 2 and my zt280 should be on Roosevelt this weekend.

    Does anyone have a opinion or pic of a bimini top on a Checkmate?

    Here is what mine looks like, we have it up most of the time on the lake, it was 110 degrees the day i took these pictures. As far as speed goes after about 40 mph the top starts to affect the handling of the boat. So down it goes. I am glad to have it in the summer though.

    My first boat, What Was Your's?

    My first boat is a 1998 ZT280 with a 502mag. I bought it for my 44th birthday last year. I am now kicking myself for not doing this at least 20 years ago! Nice thread.

    Maybe my favorite clip I have ever posted.

    That video is one of my all time favorites. I bought my ZT 280 Sport back in December, it was that clip that put me over the top and closed the deal. Thank you for posting it.

    New Checkmate owner in TEMPE AZ!!

    Congratulations! I picked up my Checkmate back in Dec. and have been having a blast at Roosevelt ever since. Enjoy the year round boating.
