Here is one from the '90 brochure.

1990-07.jpg

The owner, themudshark69 said it says 210 on the side below the glass, and the dealer told him it was a starflite...I told him its a spectra but im not sure if he beleives me.

I'm always suprised how many guys don't know what model Checkmate they own. I have a friend who owned an Enticer and every time I see him we argue about the length of the boat. He's convinced it's 19 1/2' long.

my 2 cents is that it is a 20' spectra. If memory is correct they made 17 and 20'. That profile is not a starflight. The spectra had the triangle look and the starflight was long and narrow.

If you call the factory and give them the hull number they can give you a ton of information. When i started out here someone suggested me to do that and even told me who to talk to but i dont remember who that was. They were able to tell me the year, model, legth, the colors, when it was made, and who the original dealer was.

That was for my 1981 V-Mate I so they probably should have that information for that boat as well.

the title for the boat states 21' has a 210 marking by the side windsheild vin #chk38084f889. boat has v-8 johnson built by baker marine 425 hp I was told, current best speed is 81.4 at sea level with 1 person on board and a full tank of fuel. 2 people 1/2 tank of fuel 80.7 all gps verified. also has decal on hull stating the hull was blue printed by checkmate.any help will be appreciated. also I will be at the Ct river run weather permitting.

My checkmate Sportfire was 16'7'' and my Predictor was 16'6'' and both were registered 17' I guess they just round it up. My Rallysport is 20'5'' and its known as a 21' Sounds like you have a special checkmate Ide give them a call and get some more info.

Dont ya just love the V8's:lol: I wasnt sure about mine when I got it but Its been pretty good to me so far. That much HP on a starflite would be close to 100mph I would guess since Kunkle had a starflite with a 3.6 and it ran 92

I guess Im in that same catagory too. When I first got my Predictor, I was told it was a predator. I was looking for some info on the boat and stumbled upon this great site.
