Checkmate Sightings in Mich

Mr.Buss was out in his Senator. He has been pretty quiet about it, but he built a new motor for it and SMOKED my pulse. It sounded great as he blew by me.

Nerd - what speeds can you run in the Pulse? Buss' new engine must be POWERFUL to push the Senator past you!

Well, Wednesday I will have the disrtibutor gear (damn mercruiser using a Delphi V6 distributor in a big block....who would have guessed that?) that I need and my mate WILL be sighted this weekend. I probably won't have a bigger prop, but I should be able to post better speeds with just being able to spin the motor 1000 rpms faster than before.
 
I don't think I can go then... your Convincer will EAT me! :eek:

Maybe I can just park my Enticer in your bow and go for a free ride?
 
Im sure something could be worked out.......Do you know any good looking single women to trade for said ride? Mr. Buss wants to go for a ride so I think I could get y'all on there for a spin. I might try and borrow a different prop if I can. Anybody around here have a 26 or 27 pitch prop lying around?

I launched from Zilwaukee last time, but I saw a few other places that looked like they had ramps- any other recommendations on where to put in?
 
I buy a season pass for the Lee St. Launch (right off of M-46 in Saginaw) it is a very well maintained, big launch. Plus, the ride through downtown saginaw is nice, you miss that by putting in in Zilwaukee (oh yea....and you can go fast almost the whole way)

I am thinking a little splash down test like wednesday or thursday then a nice cruise and break in ride on Saturday.
 
There aren't any no wake zones between 46 and Zilwaukee??? Awesome. Should have put in there a couple weeks ago.
 
Yea...it is a great run....especially at night through the city.....that is the only time downtown sagnasty looks pretty.

Just don't stop on shore somewhere....haha
 
The run though the city is the best part of the trip, i dunno where your comin from for but im only a couple miles off I-75, if you wanted to stop by my place you could follow me down there.:thumb:

Looks like I'd only be available to hit the river on Sunday- what day were you guys planning on?
I used to live at Bond/Remington in the city- I bet cruising through there is pretty nice.

Bond and Remington is getting kinda nasty these days, my friend lived on Bond between Holland and Remington. I wouldnt spend much time outside after dark in that area these days with out a gun, although I used to years ago.
 
Buss/Fuel- Any tentative plans for what time you might be out? I'm coming from Hartland, so I'll probably be leaving between 9 and 10 in the morning to try and miss any heavy traffic- seems like it tends to lock up on 23 a little south of 75 on the weekends.

Nerd- I lived there between the same streets, so I must have been close to your friend- can't remember the house number though. I had my car broken into twice while I lived there- for a head unit worth less than $100. Guess it must have looked nicer. But I got a broken passenger window and hacked up dash out of the deal. Let me tell you, it was fun driving from Saginaw back to A2 without a passenger window!
Anyway, any chance you'll make it out on Sunday?
 
I will probably be out Saturday around 1 or 2 ish.....My cell number is (989) 751-3206. feel free to call me if you need directions or what time you will be there. I have no problem with meeting up with you at the lauch. I could probably be talked into a shorter run on Sunday too....if everything is still running well by that point.

Buss....you WILL have that Senator out Saturday so you better take that thing and the old lady to work with you!:poke: You can use the Predictor on Sunday....two day weekend+two boats=perfect.:bigthumb:

This is all weather permitting of course......I will probably go for a short shake-down cruise on Friday as well.
 
I saw this one hanging out at crystal bay (lake Erie) all weekend. :thumb:
