Hello from Missouri

Wife and I are first time owners of a checkmate. Just purchased a new 2400 BRX it is also our first v bottom and out board boat as well, all we have ever had is cats. All i can say is WOW what a boat, it has exceeded all of my expectations. We boat on Lake of the Ozarks on the upper end around 50 MM. Want to thank Jeff at Seelye Wright for an easy smooth transaction. Bought it the first weekend of October and got to use it 3 weekends and put 19 hrs on it already. Cant wait till next spring. Hope to be able to meet other checkmate owners at the Ozarks.

keep updating your reviews of the boat as time goes on....alot of people are looking for hands on input as to handling, towing watersports, speed etc.
your input would be well taken here!!

It was hard leaving the cats but sometimes you have to sacrifice a few things for the family (but after what i have already seen of the 2400 may not be a sacrifice). Have one son in his 2nd year of college and another one starting next year and he just let us know over the summer he is goin to law school so needed to get into something cheaper for the time being. Also we always have tons of college and high school kids down with us on the weekends and a boat that only carries 5 people was difficult at times. She has promised after they are gone i can get what ever i want again lol.

Kind of liking this outboard deal might step up to the 28 with twin 300s. but that is a long way down the road, i think the 24 will do just great.

Boatn70 we ran 69 with 4 people in it last weekend, pretty impressive still learning the trim the boat likes and i havent played with the jack plate, buddy has a prop shop we will play with props next spring, planning on running the boat in the shootout at lake of the ozarks next summer.
