It's time for June 2014's Boat of the Month Nominations. :)

Spring is here and summer is about to arrive. :thumb:

This is the six one for 2014, it's almost summer, so let's get a great pic out front! :)

For those who don't know, here's how this little feature works.

Each month we have five pics which battle it out in a poll to find out which boat is the boat of the month. The boat that gets the most votes as chosen by our members wins our boat of the month contest, and the winning boat graces our entrance page for a month.

Once the official poll is completed, the top boat is the boat of the month, and the boat that gets the least amount of votes gets eliminated. That leaves three holdover pics at the end of each month. Those three pics carry over to the next month's contest and get to try to win again.

Here is what to do, if you would like to participate.

If you'd like to enter your own boat, please post your best pic. If you'd like to nominate a fellow members boat, you can do so by posting it in this thread as well.

*Other Rules Worth Noting*

- Please do not post multiple pics of your boat! Just post your best single pic! Posting multiple pics of the same boat just lessens your chances of making it into the official poll as it will most likely just split your vote up! Also, if a member's boat is already nominated, please do not nominate another pic of it! Again, this just causes vote splitting!

- Due to the overwhelming response of nomination pics we're receiving- we are now limiting total nomination pics to a total of 10! Meaning, if and when we reach ten nominations within this thread, at that point we will immediately move to the nomination vote portion of the process!

-Please only nominate pictures that you know are non-copyright protected. If you're in doubt, please check with the picture owner.

Once we hit the middle of the month, or when we get ten entries, we'll hold an elimination poll to find the top nominated two pics which will then advance to our official Boat of the Month poll.

If you need picture posting instructions, please refer to the instruction thread located in the "picture this" forum and also located in the board feedback forum.

Good luck everyone!

Let's see those pics!

Put it on Photo bucket and attach the link. Not hard at all.
Its hard if your computer stupid like me . I send ,copy, paste ,email, text pics all over but the just throw them on photobucket is where I get stopped in my tracks. The only way I will ever be able to post a pic on this site is with a several week computer class to understand the other 99% of how the computer works. Almost 2 years on here and still no pic posting for me. Sucks

Much easier to copy and paste from my phone i noticed but enough about why I dont post pics . Jupiter Pulsare that might be my all time favorite Botm shot. Awsome shot of a great old school 28 Checkmate.

I spent quite a bit of time creating detailed instructions on how to post pictures using free hosting sites as well as a second set for supporting members using the attach feature. Those don't help?

I need to become a supporting member and maybe the attachment method would be easier for me. I will have to get a paypal account to pay since I have not bought anything that required one. Im old school and struggling bad on the pics. Every pic on my photobucket was done for me by a family member trying to help me out. I have been in the field running huge commercial construction projects along with residential remods for 24 years but always got by with my limited computer skills but this is all together different. I appreciate all your guys help and will keep working on it. My wife bought me a gopro last winter and I had her send it back after it never got taken out of the box knowing Id never figure it out , thats bad. I have been working on it but without some sort of computer class I dont see it getting better. I load pics to craigslist all the time but ive screwed up every pic I have ever tried here and over on Offshore Hype. I love this site ,just wish I could share some pics some time. Just a troll for now lol.

Regardless of whatever method you choose, the difficulty will be that you typically have to resize your images and also compress them a bit in order to get them to be useable. I've jacked up the limits here for the image sizes as much as I feel I can and the board's software also attempts to resize the images as well, but the reality is that very large images will simply not upload properly.

What I would suggest is to just find a basic image program that allows you to resize and compress your images and at that point you're halfway there. :)

I use Photoshop which is a paid program, but I'm sure some in the group can mention some good free programs.

Try Irfanview - a free download. Simple image editing program that's perfect for resizing images.
You can also resize the image on Photobucket once uploaded, but I won't cause any more confusion by trying to explain that one to you!!

Good luck.....when you crack it there will be no holding you back!

I use Irfanview on my work computer. It's a basic program that gets that job done.

I really wish more supporting members would put the photo-gallery to good use as it's pretty neat in how it works. And once you upload an image, you can always find it again in your personal folder as the software stores a copy there for you. :)

Thank you kindly for the compliments Sammie. That pic is from my canal front campsite at our local Holloway Resv. Wolverine Campground. I had just run the old girl to my best gps speed to date racing a twin BBC 30' Baja Outlaw . I think I was still smiling ear to ear when my son took that pic 30 mins later. If you look real close my Action Marine sticker you sent me is just below the Mercury Racing sticker tucker away safely on the hatch. Your one of a kind Sammie , Thank you. :thumb:
