Need some help choosing carpet colors

I am in the process of replacing the floor in my Enforcer and its about time to order some replacement carpet. I'm thinking about switching some things up a bit and getting away from the all Burgundy look. Below is a picture of how it looked before I tore into it (You dont want to see what it looks like currently haha) :

Its not the greatest picture but it gives an idea of what it looks like. I can order carpet at cost through my buddies marina but he can only get a few different colors (Blue, Tan, Gray & Black).

How do you think gray floor with black gunwales/side compartments would look? My concern would be the interior of the boat getting to hot in the sun but I can't imagine it would be that different from the burgundy I have now. I don't mind ordering carpet somewhere else to get colors that will look better but it would be nice to save some money for once!

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Do you think it would be worth doing the (2) tone? Grey floor with black gunwales/compartments? I think that is the direction I'm leaning towards at the moment.

As far as two tone, that's a matter of personal preference. I think if it was me I'd probably stick with gray for both. I really think it will look great either way you go.:thumb: Jim

Personally I would get away from the carpet alltogether and use Pirelli or Longcoin flooring. You'll never have to worry about the floor getting wet, it looks great and is easy to clean. I installed into my 2800..it was easy..measured 37 times, double checked 15 times and cut once!:D The flooring cost me about $300.oo if I remember..

I agree with JP. I think if was going to do it again I'd put in Pierlli. Then if I really wanted some carpet I'd put in a snap in. 40oz feels really nice but I hate vacuuming the sand out of it.

I ripped out my nasty purple carpet last season. I was going to replace it with charcoal grey carpet.
I ended up using a Pirelli knock off rubber floor. After standing on my friends hard floor for an hour I decided to lay down 1/2 closed cell foam under the flooring. There is ZERO shock transferred into your feet. :thumb:

NOt sure what your budget is but...

I've had both plush carpet, snap in carpet and Pirelli rubber floors. I have to say, the Rubber is the way to go unless you want to up your game an go with something different. Take a look at SeaDek or HydroTurf...lots of colors and options. I just ordered a template kit from Seadek for my Ranger. If I get ambitions regarding the Starliner this winter I may do the same for it as well.

I've fished all day in a boat with a padded floor and it's awesome. The seadek you can hose right off, just like the rubber, but also have the pad for comfort like illimatic mentioned...you could get Checkmate logos and all sorts of cool stuff in your boat...just sayin'.
