hello,

im running a 135 johnson cross flow on my checkmate predictor and i installed teleflex gauges, the tach instructions said set to 5p the engine idel's around a grand. but at 1/2 throtle its at 4500, and full throtle it burrys the tach past 7k it has a stainless prop no markings, it tops out at 48ish. im looking at a ss laser II 13 1/2x 22. it is on a 115 yahama, i was told it would fit. are there any prop cross over charts between makers? i was gonna try it before i bought it.

any imput would be great guys
thanks gus

if its a newer prop with the flo-torq hub you should just have to buy the appropriate insert for your motor. otherwise, I am not sure, hopefully someone else will. With that motor, you should be pushing 60 depending on setup, is it on a jackplate?

yes its on a 10inch set back th marine hydrojacker. i got a 14x17 steltto off of a buddies bot im going to try to rule out the spun hub thought. also another buddie says he thinks the old prop is around 13x15 witch would be way to smal.

Try setting the tach on "6P". I just installed all new Teleflex gauges also. The engine list/ chart that came with mine states that for all 3 cyl. and V models, set dial to 6P. As for your set-up, My predictor came with a Merc. 115 TOP. I only ran it once before I began my restoration, but I was able to get 57 mph on gps out of it with a 23p prop. That was with no set-back. Im getting ready to hang a Crossflow 140 on a 6" CMC jackplate here really soon. I plan on running a 23p on that aswell. Im hoping to get 63-64mph. We shall see...

It's a classic mid 1970's OMC chopper style bow lifting prop. It was actually designed for bass boats. My dad ran it on a 75' V-Mate 1 with an 85hp OMC that he bought brand new. Fortunately for me it's been sitting in the attic of the garage for 30 years.

well i ran the boat this weekend with the 14x17 stellito and it brought my rmp's down but i can still tach it out and the new trim went out. so the most i saw was around just over 50. but it threw a nice rooster:) so im gonna reseal the trim accuaters and see what happens. and try to fina a local prop to test before i buy if anyone near me is nice enough. the problem is everyone runs v6 omc's i found a relly nice raker but its for a v6.

thanks gus

If you take the prop off the numbers are on the inside at the hub.Of the prop.

we saw the part# but ha to use some 400grit sand paper to read the rest. it looks like a 12 1/2 x 2? my guess is 21 but its chewed to hell
