1980 Entertainer re-restore

Member
Back in 2005 I bought my 1980 I/O Entertainer outright from my aunt ... It has been in my family since it was new, and I was 9. I redid seats, carpet, countless mechanical updates, and had it sprayed with clear to get the original blue and silver metal flake shine back. I knew the clear may only give me 5 to 10 years of looking good, but what were the chances the old girl would still be useable in 10 more years? Soooo, here we are. I spent yesterday with a razor scraping off milky, flaking clear from 10'years ago, and I'm trying to wet sand the original shine back. Holy crap what an undertaking! Hopefully I can get her back in shape in the next couple of weeks. I'm also having to redo some carpet. I had hoped to pull the engine over the winter to fix an oil drip, but I just couldn't find the time. But it's still the prettiest boat on the water 36 years later!

I don't know how! I posted pics out here years ago, but now everything is on my iPhone and I don't know how to upload them?

It's a pain in the *ss there are some very helpful people on the site that will give advice like they did for me.Good luck sounds like a nice project can't wait to see pics

Pics

I found the pics from my original restoration back in 2007 an commented on them to bump it back to the front ... If you go to the "picture this" forum you'll see my boat! Still looks about the same, I just have to replace a little damaged carpet, wet sand out some bad clear, and replace the depth finder I installed in the dash. I also want to step up the stereo system!
