1997 Checkmate Convincor 242

Mark P

New member
I just purchased a 1997 Checkmate Convincor 242 with a stock 454, 7.4 liter, carb, motor, and a brave one out drive. Trim tabs are not working, probably some small electrical issue I will find and have fixed. My question is, what is the least expensive way to add some speed and not kill my wallet? Any suggestions would be appreciated. If anyone else has any other good pointers about this boat please also let me know.

Thank You
