Mark your calendars, in addition to the Holiday weekends the Saginaw River will be a Hot Spot on July 19th for the WKCQ Country music fest, and the Second Annual Checkmate River Take Over on August 7th.

There are two easy access launches just off I-75, one just south of the Z-Bridge in Zilwakee and one just south of the M46 bridge, both on the west side of the river.

Last year the Checkmate get together had 8 or so boats, and we all had a great time. Most of you saw the pics, lots of flat water runnin' at wide open.

If any one has any ideas let me know. See you there.

The Guys from north of Toronto held thier run on a August weekend and properly will again.Beautiful area just lacks beaching or a swimable sandbars and such. But anyway I just checked my work calender and have all the weekends available in August:banana:.

P.S. I won't say it but you need to get you butts down to LSC on June 25th

Depending on the wind, we could head out to the Saginaw Bay. There is a nice beach/sandbar there and usually lots of boats. Only draw back is lots of time in no wake zones to get there.

How bad do they get on you for noise up that way?
I gotta check the laws up there about mufflers, or db limits in MI when I get a chance(my stuff is fairly quiet, has wet exhaust but no mufflers)
Also, its just paying a fine if you get caught speeding, right?

If I am not there for the checkmate river run I will try to make sure I commit myself to a mental institute that has a view of the river for that day!:brickwall::pissed:
