2100 Pulsare BR etec 250 HO Prop Question

Hello, I recently picked up a used 2008 2100 Pulsare BR with an etec 250 HO on it. The boat was a bank repo and is without a prop. I have read and searched the boards and did pick up a Trophy Plus 25p that I thought would be a good place to start plus the price was right ($125). I was hoping their might be a couple of you running the same or similar set up that could give me some advice on prop alternatives. 3 blade 4 blade pitch etc. My boat has a manual jack plate and it looks like it the stock 5.5-6 inch set back and the previous owner has her up pretty high. Also on the Trophy Plus and etec do I need the vent plugs in or out? Really appreciate any advice/assistance you can share. I know testing will be the best route but the ice on the lake is not helping that situation out any!!
Thanks
Jeff

DS280 on the forum has the same boat with an ETEC 225 HO. You need to PM him and he can give you the skinny. I do know he had a labbed prop and had the boat running 78 on the GPS.

I have close to the same set up as you. Here is what I found to work best on mine and I really like the way it performs.

2008 2100BR, 200HO, 5'' CMC manual lift, motor is about as high as it will go on both adjustments, 24 pitch Trophy Plus, cave ring in, 2 medium plugs & 2 large plugs ( not 100% positive if small & med. or med & large but the smaller have a 1/4'' hole the larger have a 1/2'' hole.

PS - I purchased a used 24 TP also. Created huge headaches and prolonged getting by boat dialed in. Ended up trying other props till I finally figured out the used 24 I bought was junk. Just something to keep in mind if you are having troubles. I would think your 25 should be a good start for my 24 runs on high end of RPMs if I really get after it with a light load.
