Thanks, I'm located in R.I. so if any body in the northeast wants to go a little faster this is the boat for them.

Due to the High volume of requests to purchase this boat I connot decide who to sell it to. So I'm just gonna keep it and and send the kids to community collage. SO I'M STILL RUNNIN' WITH THE BIG DOGS!!!

Hey, another Rhodeislander - are you on fresh water or salt? if you're on Jonson's Pond in Coventry we may be nieghbors.

Hey Bill,
I am on the freshwater or whats left of it. they are draining it out faster that I can move the boat out to the end of the dock! what part of the pond do you live on. I am over on sharon dr

Hey Ted
I'm over on Raymond's point rd - nice to meet you.I havn't been down since Monday and I had to push the boat out a little. I hope it's not on dry land.

Bill,
You must have the Black and silver with the 200 johnson on it. If thats the one. Its sharp. It must be pretty quick with that horse power. I,m hoping they will keep the water level stable for a while or we all are going to be in trouble.

Yup thats the one.I bought it from a friend last year, had some fun this summer with it.Hopefully I'll get to the floor over this winter, then it will really be something.
Now the only other checkmates I've noticed on the pond are the red one down at the marina and the bluish one with the open bow - that must be you.

There are accually 2 blue open bow checkmates on sharon dr one is just accross from you and mine is a little farther down. Mine has a merc 225 and the other one has a rude 175. I also have to do the floor in my boat this winter. I need to find some place where I can do the work.
I don't have a garage and I do not want to do it out side in case I get caught short with the weather.

I,m in the same position - no place to do it. I just got one of those canvase car ports and I'm thiking if I park the trailer right up next to my deck, I can get in and out without going up and down a ladder.

Let me know when you start yours I would like to see how you are doing. I haven't done any glass work myself and I wouldn't mind giving you a hand so I could learn something. I do have a guy at work who used to build boats for a living and he said he will give me any advice I need.I would be happy to ask him anything if you run into any trouble.

That would be great Ted.I plan to start as soon as I take care of my #1 project , selling the house at the top of raymond's pt. rd.- If you know anyone who's house shopping they will love you for this tip. It's not even listed yet. It's under 200k - 4 bedrooms and it has water rights. Hopefully I'll get started on the floor before it gets too cold, and yes I would be glad get together with you and your bud. I coud use any extra ideas on this.

Fiberglass resin does not like to harden under 60 degrees.. Make sure you can maintain at least 60 while the resin is hardening. Doing a winter project without a garage could present a problem

Hmmm ,thats a good point... well here's an idea - during the winter I can work on getting the floor up and fitting the new plywood. I want to glass the new wood on both sides before I install it. I think I can do that in a friend's garrage - not the whole boat though, that would be an imposition. Then I could glass it in in the spring.I,m also thinking about pouring in some new floatation foam so the bottom doesn't flex going over waves.
If I do ok with this real estate thing then it'll be all about the boat - yeah baby!

Bill,
I will spread the word about your house. All that house and water rights seems like a good deal for under 200g in this town. Bob was right about that 60 deg. I talk with my glass guy and he also said it wouldnt work in cool temps. I also have a sight to get the foam I will get it and send it your way it was half the price as a marine supply store.

Hey Ted,
I got around to pulling the boat out this weekend among other things,(sorry I dont usually go on line at home)I think I remember that 2 part foam being about 300 bucks for 30 cubic feet- Hey as I was running around Sunday I could swear I saw a boat like yours for sale up near Benny's?

No, thats an older V-mate.( I think/hope mines a little prettier than that one) I was on the water yesterday. It was a perfect day. My son and I Lined up with that black and white donzi with the big block in it. We crept away from him as we hit 71.8 on GPS. I will get you the web site for the foam today.

Bill,
Check out this site for the foam. I bought some
at the start of the season.
