Hey folks. I'm selling the Exciter. Its an 82 19.5" Exciter with an 86 175hp Johnson (25" shaft). I bought this boat last season from the original owner who GARAGED it its whole life. The gelcoat is still very good. I bought the motor from an Evinrude tech this season and it runs great (The oil injection was removed and I premix as many of you know, these old oil injectors had problems). The trailer is very nice with no rust (it will need new tires soon though).
The interior is alright. I just rebuilt the wood in the back seat, and the upolstery is fine, but beginning to crack. Floor and transom are very solid. The jackplate is NOT included.
I bought this boat when I lived in MI, but now that I live in Cleveland, I need a bigger boat for lake Erie. The boat will hit high 50's (with 6 people and a cooler in the boat) no problem and if you invested in setting the motor up a little, I have no doubt it would hit high 60's. Very efficient on gas as well.
My little jeep pulls this boat with no problem. Looking for $4000 OBO.
