'95 Persuader w/454 Bravo 1

Looking at this Persuader and seller tells me that engine has a rev limiter. When running it out did notice it leaning against it. Is this a factory standard or option on this particular year model.Where is it located?? Is there anywhere I can search for model year specs for my hopeful Persuader? Thanks

I have 95 218 Persuader with 350 mag. No factory rev limiter on mine. I would have to say it has aftermarket ignition system with rev limiter. I have used GM performance ignition with built in rev limiter, put whatever rpm chip/pill you want in it. Same thing as MSD. I believe crane, mallory, or summit racing has dials on ignition box to change rpm limits.

Be very careful here :sssh: Is the seller using this rev-limiter BS because the boat is missing and runs like crap at high rpms. Or is the prop to small and the owner is over revving the boat instead of buying the correct prop?? What rpms was the boat turning when the rev-limiter started kicking in ?

Be very careful buying a boat from anybody rite now dealer or private. People are hurting for money and they will shaft you and lie just to make a sale.

Missing problem??

Big Red,It has a 24 4 Blade prop.I will ask the owner about what you have told me.I'm new to i/o's,so the more info the better. As far as knowledge on engine performance,I was a bit suspicious on the whole rev limiter thing, but not too familiar with the 454 and its specs.I'll definitely check it out.

I dont know if the boat has a rev-limiter or not. Is the engine stock and what hp might the engine be. What speeds is the seller claiming
