Well guys I am going to make the responsible choice and sell my baby. My wife and I were all set up ready to go to the rally when she went to the rest room and came back and said "well I pregnant!" So after a couple weeks of debating on selling the boat to better our finances I am going ahead and posting it for sale.

its a 242 convincor with a 502 big block that was put in in May 2010. I just put new aluminum heads machined and ported. They have roller rockers and inconel valves. It also has the MSD ignition setup. I have two props on is hand labbed. The boat is in great shape and the only reason I am selling it is because the wife is pregnant.

I am asking $25,000 OBO

THanks and jazzy if you can think of anything else just through it in there. I cant even think straight posting this. It took me a couple years to get such a great boat and only a couple seconds to have to sell it :shakehead:.

Thanks Keith and Big Red! Oh Yeah just had the whole boat professionally buffed and waxed the week of the rally.

You could always keep the boat and get different wife that's not pregnant, LOL....JK!!! :eyecrazy:

Sucks your selling it, looks like a great boat for someone. This got brought up before my daughter was born about selling my fiero. The wife said no way when everyone else told me time to grow up and sell the toys. I am glad she talked me into keeping it.

BTW, I had my kids on a checkmate or waverunner at 6-8 months of age. If your selling because you think "its the responsible thing to do" then don't. If its because of "money" then that's a different story!

Congrats on the baby also, they are so much fun:bigthumb:! I am guessing this is your first??

"It took me a couple years to get such a great boat and only a couple seconds to have to sell it :shakehead:."

It only took you a couple of seconds to get your wife pregnant, or it only took a couple of seconds to decide to sell it?

If it was the first then I don't think selling your boat is your biggest problem.:poke:

Just kidding, and congratulations on the upcoming tot. Like YF said, kids are great and they make everything worthwhile. Sorry you have to sell.

congrats pops! and nice lookin mate. before long you'll be back in the game and shoppin for a bigger one

Congrats on the baby, it is a life changing event that's for sure, best time in my life when I saw my daughter for the first time.

Like Brian said, if your doing it because you think it's the responsible thing to do and not only for cash reasons hang on to it, I know a lot of people think you can't take young kids on a boat, both my kids were on a boat within a few weeks of being born.

I went and sold my fast boat and all my other toys because I thought it was the responsible thing to do only to go replace them a year later, ended up costing more than it would of to keep them in the first place.

Either way your gonna have a blast with your new child, they are fun.

I agree if you want the money sell. If not don't sell. I have a 15 mt old and he slows down the action but doesn't stop it. He likes boating and getting in the water. Don't sell if you don't need too. Congrats!

It is hard to wait

I even went as far as totally moth balling my boat while the kids were small. We put them through private school K through High School. It was expensive. So we waited 'till they got a older and money was better before I got it back out to play. They are older know and they love going out on the boat. So I guess it was worth the wait.

congrats on the pregnancy but i must say that from my personal experience that boats take more money and time to maintain than a child does by a long shot (at least for me) the cost of having kids really isnt bad at all, and having a boat to go out on with the family makes it all that more pleasurable. I say keep it and sell a car or instead lol

congrats again jesse on the baby good luck on the sale of the boat i know i tried to talk you out of it but you gotta do what you gotta do

Thanks a bunch guys for all the support. It is hard for me to take it all in still yet. We werent planning on having any kids for about 5 or so more years. But I guess the good lord has a more important plan then my wife and I have. I have posted the boat a few places and if someone shows interest and wants to buy it then I will sale it. If not then I will keep it. If I sale it then I think I will wait a couple years when the kid is old enough to really take it in to buy another one. And there is only one kind of boat and thats a 'mate! Thanks again guys and if anyone needs any info or is interested then just send me a pm or call me at 423-914-6881. Oh yeah, the heads work a stuff I had done ran me 4800 so I have quit a bit in her and I am willing to work on the price.

Well no luck selling the boat yet. Just a bump to the top. I can do 22000 and I am losing b. I can also work out a delivery (by me not a company) for a fee.
