Access Panels for Convincor

I am in the process of installing full hydraulic steering in my 97 253 Convincor. While I was fitting my helm behind the dash I have dropped tools and also debris in between the dash panel and fuse panel in the cuddy. Does anyone know how to access this area? I also noticed the fuel fill and vent hose is at the bottom of this area so I figured it must be accessible but I can't find a way back there. I was thinking about installing a round access port into the fiberglass area where your feet would be if you were sitting in the seat. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have dropped many things in the same place you did. My '99 259 Convincor has access ports from inside the cabin, behind the removable cushons, in front of the dash.

My 270 also has access holes behind the cabin cushions on both sides. I think there is one high and one low on each side.

Thanks Vinny. I will look into installing something back there. Did yours come from the factory with the ports?

I looked behind both cushions and nothing to be found but vinyl. My luck. I guess I'll be cutting some holes this week.
