Battery

My WalMart ones have treated me pretty good. The one in my old boat is going on 10 years old now, the one in my Mate is 2 years trouble free. They have a 1 year warranty so you. can get yourself a new one every spring if you like. :)

I know people that have Napa, Walmart and Costco batteries with no problems.

The only thing I would note is just keep it charged up and maintain it. Makes batteries last longer.

I have had good luck with ones from Advanced Auto or Walmart.......maintaining properly is key to any battery. I will never buy an Optima again though.

get a 1000 amp battery, make sure its cranking and not a deep cycle. most makes are pretty good, you are pretty lucky if you get more than 5 years out of a battery.

I also recommend storing it someplace relatively warm and on a shelf for the winter. I put mine down in the cellar.
