Breaking in a new 225 Optimax

Im about to receive shipment on my 2006 Pulsare 2100BR. Ive NEVER owned a new boat before. Any suggestions about "breaking in" a new Optimax? Thanks

read your owners manual when it you get it. follow it to a "T". Use only optimax oil by mercury. Watch your RPMS, the ecm has a memory and records everything you do to that engine including over revs. if something happens and you need warranty work, merc can and has asked for the ecm data before they decide to accept the claim. Do the proper break-in and you won't have any trouble.
