Checkmate Starfire?

I'm interested in buying a 1987 Checkmate, It's an 18 footer with 260HP I/O. The owner doesn't know what model it is. I registered with this site so I could look at the 1987 sales pictures in your picture galery. The closest picture I could find is the 1987 Starfire. NADA lists Checkmate as having 3 18' I/Os for 1987, the Starfire, the Eluder and the Starlet. I can eliminate the Starlet because it's an open bow and the boat I'm looking at isn't. Is there anyway someone from this forum can positively I.D this boat with this hull number, CMK-347771687? If so please Email me at lhuet12363@aol.com:eyecrazy:

Your serial number is wrong. The character between the 7 and the 6 should not be a number it should be a letter. Since you show a 1, its probably an I which would mean its was built in August of 1986 for the 1987 model year. As far as which boat it is, without seeing a picture I couldn't tell you. BUT if you give Mike Combs a call at Checkmate 419-562-3881, he can tell you what model it is, and what the original colors were, AND the original dealer that bought it.

sounds about like my boat which is a starfire, 18ft 350chevy, has a swim platform on the back and a small cuddy(closed bow) you can see in my avitar

Most don't understand anything we talk about any how!
Alot of between the lines here lol

And sorry to rob the old thread lol
So what about those Baltimore Ravens

And What about this brown Christmas coming up

All our snow is melted and none in the 14 day forecast to speak of, can't have Christmas without snow, not here anyway, it's depressing looking out side with everything brown and dead looking.

You can have that snow stuff.
We only get enough to make a mess, work, and wrecks.
If it was enough to get a ski I'd feel different

You guys are really robbing an old dead thread that someone elso robbed. Now thats a double robbery.anim_61.gif
