Chopper on Predictor

Ok, here it is, I have a chance to buy a 20P Chopper for a very good price. The thing is, I am running a 21P @5200-5400 rpms depending on the load. The max rpm for my engine is 5500. Will the Chopper run 5500 or more? If so would 5600 or 5700 hurt my engine?

I'm not sure what brand of engine you have but I seriously doubt that the Chopper will hurt it. I have run Mercs, OMCS, and Yamahas all day long @ over 6000rpm WOT using with a V6 engine and that has NEVER affected their life expectancy using a Chopper. Right now I'm running a 175 Merc @ 6200 RPM WOT using a Chopper. It runs PERFECT!. That has also held true for in-line sixes and V4s.
