Engine Hatch fuse?

Pata

New member
Hello,
I bought a checkmate 260ZT a few months ago but last week I was out with some buddies I was trying to open the engine hatch. Unfortunately a rope was stuck over the hatch so it did only open a little bit before it stopped.
I think that a fuse might have broke but are there any more than the one below the open/close hatch switch? Because that one is still in there. I guess that if it had broke it would pop out?

Thanks in advance for the help.

So nobody knows if there's another fuse for the hatch motor?
Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for it?

Thanks!

I'm just guessing that the fuse below the switch is for the hatch motor - if it is a fuse and "broke" it would not pop out. Most fuses have a cap that you need to unscrew to check the fuse. ( A picture would help )

Mine has a circuit breaker below my up down switch. It's never popped but guessing it pushes in to reset.

Get a voltmeter/test light and check if you have power on both sides of the breaker - if not then the breaker is tripped.
Then check the switch - should have power on one side and power on second side when switch is closed.

If you have power coming out of the switch when closed, then you have other problems - maybe burned up the hatch motor.

Hello ant thank you for all the replays.
I've been away for the weekend but went to the boat yesterday to take some pictures and try to figure it out.
I had already checked for power both at the motor and at the switch/beaker but nothing. However I red in some other thread that the hatch motor was going slow and they talked about the power cable going straight from the battery to the hatch motor. I found a red cable going from the battery in in with the rest of the cables going back to the motor compartment and that one had a fuse on it that was broke. So that's how easy it was.
Thanks for all your help!
