exhaust wont fit ?????

I need some help from anyone who has ever installed after market exhaust on a 1990 281 maxxum with twin small blocks. My buddy Frank (aka Fast Frank. ha ha) has tried Eddie Marine and Stainless Marine with no luck. Both styles fit on both engines but hit at the top where the risers mount to the manifold. He is unable to install the risers due to the lack of clearance for the turbo clamp on the Stainless Marine and on the Eddie Marine the risers actually touch at the mounting point. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Fast Frank here, well Gary I think we stumped everyone...I'll call Chekmate on Monday to see if they have had this problem before, also I'll call Trick Marine to see what they have to say, I just don't uderstand why I'm having this problem, you would think that someone else might have had this problem before. or a fix...
