Hello all, Ive posted on here a couple times but now for the time to do stuff to the boat..I have a completely original 1982 Enticer,140 XFlow Johnson (installed since day one) which is weird but whatever....One of the brands of boats I sell has a 1 yr old 6inch manual Slidemaster Jack plate,$100.00, the guys on Scream and Fly think I should try a 23 Renegade or a 22 or 24 pitch Old style Raker......I have at work a older 23 pitch Hustler OMC prop, but the S&F guys say those suck, but its free....Now from what Ive read tonight 6 inch is great, what about propping? As we all know 'Mates like Jack plates, this summer I was only able to get her to 48mph on GPS, but then again that was with a 20 yr old sst 21p prop or a 19p aluminum, so propping will make a huge difference...Luckily in Wi we have some V4 psychos that on their 'Streams are beating v6 mercs, but thats on youtube.com, do a search for Lakerv4.....Any other ideas guys? My buddy builds bass boats in Sturgeon Bay Wi, so for advertising he's going to help me put a new floor in 2-baseball sized soft areas, im 6ft5 270lbs and did the motor/transom test, and when raising the motor on the transom we noticed all is good...Luckily the boat is babied, the original 27yr old interior is still in great shape, all wood under front seat and back are solid like day 1, hopefully my stringer and core are good,if not my buddys used to build yachts for Carver,so Im sure 16ft of Checkmate wont hurt, also, he likes Coosa Board, its used in Triton,Stratos,Champion and a couple other brands of reputable bass boats, he also has Balsa, but what are your thoughts? He says we can use Balsa,Fiberglass (like Ranger,Bass Cat and Malibu Ski boats) Coosa,he even has Kevlar and Carbo Fiber, but its only a 2k boat.....Its a weird light tan/off white with orangish copperish metal flake that fades as it goes from top to bottom, Ive yet to see one anything like it,luckily my Johnnyrude matches so it isnt a red boat with a blue motor or whatever.....Please give me too much advice, before we cut im calling Checkmate to get some more ideas, Thank you so much,I appreciate it guys,
