help.. ive reached a wall

hello. well i was getting a flat 60 mph gps out of my high five prop.. trimmed out throttle floored.. so i slapped on a merc cleaver 21 pitch identical to this one

and now im only gettting 61 mph gps. what gives??

do i need more pitch?

this is on a 93 merc 200 hp. on a enchanter hull. im spinning somewhere around 5700 rpm.


also.. would anyone be interested in this cleaver prop ?? ill sell it or trade it.

there are no bad knicks or dents.

Both the Cleaver and the High 5 are not bow-lifting props as compared to a big ear prop like a Laser II or Tempest Plus. Your two props are similar but different: The High 5 is a top notch smooth ski prop, the Cleaver is a light weight tunnel boat prop. Neither one are bow-lifting props. You need a bow-lifting 3-blade big ear prop if you want to go faster. You'll have to try about 50 props to find the 'magic' prop though ;) Try some big ear 3 blades and some Trophy props, see what happens. I dont know much about the newest props that are out. There's some new props getting a lot of hype lately.
